About ANRI

Groeden is located in the heart of southern Tyrol, the holiday valley
of the Dolomites. Woodcarving was first practiced here as long ago
as the Middle Ages. People started out by creating items for every
day use, but in time woodcarving became a highly skilled art, of
which sacral art is now a key feature.

The Riffeser family has been well known as one of the valley's leading
woodcarving families since the early 19th century. When the ANRI
company was founded in 1912, it was set up for exemplary success.
ANRI - an acronym for ANton RIffeser. The company ships its highly
artistic nativity figures to destinations all over the world. Every
single figure is a testimony to Anri's woodcarving skills, which
are based on their passion for wood.
